Established in 2015 by Drum and Bass Proper had a simple mission, to put out mixes. After posting ten mixes it was time to regroup and get organized and build a crew. Next came [MINIMIX MONDAY]  as the original mix series. It consisted of short mixes, 25 to 30 minutes. As interest peaked in the scene other DJs outside of the crew were interested in submitting mixes and the [Featured Selecta] spot was born and we started to feature talent from all over the scene within the [MINIMIX MONDAY] series. This really took off and we started to build the crew. The  Featured Selecta  mixes started adding up and we were backing up so it was idea time because crew members couldn’t get mixes up themselves. This is when the [Featured Friday] series was born adding another day of mixes to our content. In 2024 we added a third mix series, [Midweek Masters Series], to spread the love and give the Big Shot names a dedicated spot to showcases their artwork. The [Midweek Masters Series] was created for the producers, promoters, label owners and big names pushing the scene for ten plus years helping keep it fresh and relevant.

In January 2022 we developed a website to connect our dot com to officially. It started out simply with a mission statement and crew member page to help promote everyone. Fast forward to 2026 we have built in a blog section, dedicated pages for each mix series, Live stream info and a merch shop plus sections for each of the sister brands within the Rave Proper network.

Today we have 22 active resident Djs all working together, each one with a dedicated position to help grow and build the scene.
